📌 WHAT’S NEW?
IRCC has released updated guidelines for foreign nationals working at the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) in Canada:
✅ Clarified length of stay and extension options for WADA employees
✅ Improved language around the significant benefit WADA brings to Canada
✅ Page now aligned with other instructions under the International Mobility Program (IMP)
👤 WHO IS ELIGIBLE?
✔️ Foreign nationals with a temporary job offer from WADA
✔️ Holding a position as an Executive / Manager (TEER 0-1) or Specialized Technical Knowledge Worker
✔️ Must meet the experience and education requirements of the role
📄 REQUIRED DOCUMENTATION
📌 Job offer from WADA submitted via the Employer Portal
📌 Offer must detail: job duties, required skills, employment duration, and compensation
📌 Supporting evidence of education, qualifications, and experience per NOC requirements
📌 Work location must be in Montréal, Quebec
⏳ WORK PERMIT DURATION AND EXTENSIONS
- Initial work permit valid for up to 3 years, or until the passport expires (whichever comes first)
- ✅ Unlimited extensions allowed, as long as the employee continues to meet WADA’s and IRCC’s conditions
- Applicant must always demonstrate temporary intent to remain eligible
