New Immigration Pathways for Rural and Francophone Communities

The Canadian government just announced two new immigration pilots specifically designed for rural communities and Francophone minority communities (outside Quebec).

These pilots offer a pathway to permanent residency for skilled newcomers who want to contribute to these thriving communities.

What’s the Opportunity?

– Rural Community Immigration Pilot: Launching this fall, this program aims to connect rural businesses with the skilled workers they need. If you possess the skills these communities are looking for, you could gain permanent residency and build a life in a welcoming smaller town.

– Francophone Community Immigration Pilot:  Also starting in the fall of 2024, this pilot focuses on attracting French-speaking newcomers to Francophone minority communities outside Quebec. This is a fantastic opportunity to revitalize these communities while enjoying the benefits of French-Canadian culture.

How to Apply?

While the specific application process will be announced in the coming months, IRCC (Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada) will be opening applications for communities to participate in the pilots this spring. Stay tuned for more details!
