STUDENTS WITH CANADIAN GOVERNMENT SCHOLARSHIPS EXEMPT FROM PAL 2025

 🗓 Update date: April 28, 2025

🔔 IRCC (Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada) has just announced an important change for international students who receive scholarships from Global Affairs Canada (GAC).

Key points you need to know:

No need to submit a PAL/TAL (Provincial or Territorial Attestation Letter) – This has been a mandatory requirement for most international students since 2024, but if you have a scholarship from GAC, you are exempt.
Updated list of GAC international scholarship programs – Make sure to check if your scholarship is on the list.
New guidance on assessing financial requirements for scholarship/award recipients – If your scholarship covers tuition and living expenses, proving financial support will be much easier.

🎓 If you’re receiving a Canadian Government scholarship, don’t miss out on this PAL exemption benefit — understanding the updated policy can help you avoid unnecessary delays and mistakes in your application.
