New Home Caregiver Pilot Program in Canada
The Home Child Care Provider Pilot and the Home Support Worker Pilot are set to expire at the end of this month. Minister Marc Miller has announced the launch of new caregiver pilot programs.
Full details of the programs, including eligibility criteria and application procedures, will be announced later.
Benefits of participating in the program:
– Receive a Permanent Resident (PR) card upon arrival in Canada.
– Be allowed to work for a wider range of organizations that provide temporary or part-time care.
– Easily find suitable and reliable employment.
Requirements:
– Meet a minimum language proficiency level of Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) 4.
– Hold a high school diploma equivalent to a Canadian high school diploma.
– Have recent and relevant work experience.
– Receive a job offer for a full-time home care position.
Note: This pilot program is not for caregivers under the existing Live-in Caregiver Program (LCP).
