RCIP: Easier Pathway to Canadian Immigration

RCIP – The Rural and Northern Immigration Pilot program is designed to assist employers in rural and small communities in Canada in addressing labor shortages. Employers can recruit skilled foreign workers with experience through full-time, permanent job offers.

1. RCIP: Supporting Settlement and Employment Stability

RCIP aims to:

  • Workers: Those who wish to settle permanently and stably in a community.
  • Employers: Those seeking to retain employees for the long term.

2. Areas Participating in the RCIP Program

The program is currently implemented in the following regions:

Province of Ontario

  • Thunder Bay
  • Sault Ste. Marie
  • Sudbury
  • Timmins
  • North Bay

Province of Manitoba

  • Brandon
  • Altona/Rhineland

Province of Alberta

  • Claresholm

Province of British Columbia

  • Vernon
  • West Kootenay (including Trail, Castlegar, Rossland, and Nelson)

The RCIP program facilitates the settlement and long-term employment of foreign workers while helping employers build a stable workforce to sustainably grow their communities.

As Canada tightens its immigration policies, this could be a great and relatively easier opportunity compared to general pathways for you to work and settle in Canada. Explore the areas mentioned above and don’t hesitate to reach out to SICON to see if you qualify for the RCIP program!
