New Brunswick Immigration Program and Stream Updates 2025

The following table provides a summary of updates for each New Brunswick immigration stream:

1. New Brunswick Express Entry

In the coming weeks, the New Brunswick Express Entry stream will begin accepting Expressions of Interest (EOIs) under:

• Employment in New Brunswick pathway
• The New Brunswick Interests pathway

At this time, candidates in the following occupations will not be considered:

• Accounting technicians and bookkeepers (NOC 12200) / Kế toán viên và nhân viên ghi sổ kế toán
• Administrative assistants (NOC 13110) / Trợ lý hành chính
• Restaurant and food service managers (NOC 60030) / Quản lý nhà hàng và dịch vụ ăn uống
• Food service supervisors (NOC 62020) / Giám sát dịch vụ ăn uống
• Cooks (NOC 63200) / Đầu bếp
• Bakers (NOC 63202) / Thợ làm bánh

🔴 The New Brunswick Student Connection program under this stream will not return in 2025.

2. New Brunswick Strategic Initiative

• The New Brunswick Strategic Initiative stream has reached its capacity of EOIs, and therefore, the PNP will not be accepting new EOIs at this time.
• The program encourages potential immigrants to check the webpage for this stream later in the year for updates and further information.
• The In-Person Exploratory Visit to New Brunswick program was paused in November 2024 and will not return in 2025.

3. New Brunswick Skilled Worker

The New Brunswick Skilled Worker stream will begin accepting applications in the coming weeks and has been split into three smaller pathways:

• The New Brunswick Work Experience pathway
• The New Brunswick Graduates pathway
• The New Brunswick Priority Occupations pathway

Eligibility requirements for each pathway

New Brunswick Work Experience

• Must have held a full-time, non-seasonal job with an eligible New Brunswick employer within the last 6 months; and
• Must have resided in the province for the past 6 months.

New Brunswick Graduates

• Must have completed a program of study eligible for a Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP) at a New Brunswick Designated Learning Institution (DLI); and
• Must have a full-time, non-seasonal job or a job offer from an eligible New Brunswick employer.

New Brunswick Priority Occupations

• Must have a full-time, non-seasonal job offer from an eligible New Brunswick employer as a result of a recruitment mission led by the Government of New Brunswick;
• The job must be included within the list of priority National Occupation Classification (NOC) codes; and
• Must have at least one year of experience related to this position.

Occupations not eligible for the Skilled Worker stream

Candidates in the following occupations will not be considered:
