Canada changes to the off-campus work hours for international students.
– Temporary policy ends: The program that allowed students to work more than 20 hours per week off-campus will end on April 30, 2024.
– New work hours: Starting in the fall, students will be allowed to work up to 24 hours per week off-campus.
– Hours during breaks: Students will be allowed to work unlimited hours during scheduled academic breaks.
– Upcoming policy: The government is developing a new framework to assess post-secondary institutions that set high standards for selecting, supporting, and retaining international students.
