Canada Announces Permanent Residency for Families of PS752 Victims

Today, on October 28, 2024, the Honourable Marc Miller, Minister of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada, announced a new program allowing the families of victims of the tragic PS752 flight to apply for permanent residency in Canada. This initiative continues the government’s efforts to reunite the families of those who lost their lives in this tragic event and demonstrates Canada’s ongoing support for them.

This program is available to families who had loved ones who were Canadian citizens, permanent residents, or had been approved to study or work in Canada. It will be open from October 28, 2024, to October 27, 2025, enabling eligible family members to apply for permanent residency.

Through this program, Canada reaffirms its commitment to empathy, justice, and accountability for the victims and their families. Further information, including application details, is now available on the IRCC website.

This new initiative is not only a show of solidarity with the victims’ families but also a reminder that Canada will always stand by those affected by this tragedy.
